Camp Davis 90th Anniversary Reunion: August 16-22, 2019

Registration is now open for the 2019 Camp Davis 90th Anniversary Reunion & Student Cabin and Recreation Hall Dedication. See the Reunion Website (https://sites.google.com/umich.edu/camp-davis-reunion-2019) for a schedule of events, pricing, and registration information.

Camp Davis Alumni Reunions have been periodically held to offer our alumni an opportunity to return to Camp Davis, visit with friends, family, and colleagues, and take part in many of the educational, recreational, and cultural activities available in the Jackson area.

A pressing need to renovate the student cabins at Camp Davis has put the alumni reunions on hold for several years as we worked to get the renovation project off the ground.

We are thrilled that the renovation project is moving forward in 2018-2019, and we are excited to invite alumni back in the summer of 2019 for a dedication of the new student cabins and recreation hall and a week of fun and activities at Camp Davis and the surrounding region.

Adam Simon honored as Arthur F. Thurnau Professor

Congratulations to Adam Simon for his recent honor as a University of Michigan Arthur F. Thurnau Professor. Criteria for Thurnau professorships include a strong commitment to teaching and learning, innovations in education, and making an impact on students' lives both inside and outside the classroom.

Adam has held steadfast to developing students to become aware, active and engaged citizens regarding issues surrounding our society's use of natural resources. He also has a deep personal commitment to mentoring students and helping them find their way as young adults, in a way that benefits a diverse group of students.

The Department is delighted that Adam has received this most deserving recognition. His Thurnau Professorship will be retained throughout his UM career. For more details, see the University Record article: https://record.umich.edu/articles/six-faculty-members-honored-arthur-f-thurnau-professors.
